India both consumes and produces machine tools in large volumes. It is currently experiencing robust expansion, driven by the increasing adoption of industrial automation and Industry 4.0 practices, alongside rising demand from the aerospace, defense, and electronics sectors.

The metalforming segment is currently at a powerful inflection point, recording exceptional growth. Established in 1945, UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE is the Italian machine tool, robots, automation systems and ancillary products (NC, tools, components, accessories) manufacturers' association.

The official and real representative of the Italian industry of the sector, UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE has today more than 250 associate member companies, which account for more than 70% of the Made in Italy in the field.

The association aims at safeguarding the interests of the sector by promoting the growth and dissemination of the entrepreneurial culture and by directly interacting with Italian and foreign authorities and institutions to bring the strengths and requests of the sector to their attention.

The value and the long-standing tradition of the associate member companies, expression of one of the sectors that most contribute to the whole manufacturing chain, along with the expertise of the association structure, make UCIMU one of the most authoritative representatives among international organisations.
